It's been like ages since I've last posted on this blog esp. THIS BLOG!
I've been thinking for a long time what to do with this space.  I've decided to change its purpose.

It will still be interactive but it will serve a far different purpose.
Those that are still part of this...well, that are still listed here, I don't know how many of you will still remain.
However, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.  Whether it be out of curiousity or for another reason.

What I'm going to do with this space?  In truth, I think it's more of an experiment.  I don't know how it will go.
Things have change within me.  My interests have changed.  My focus has changed.  But if you want to stick around, you can.
And if you don't, that's alright.  I won't take it personal.  ^___^

It's an idea.

God bless!

“It’s All About the Candy!” Fanfic Sequel Contest

For those of you who are not familiar with this InuYasha fanfic, you must read it first before participating.  Go to:

The idea for this contest came to me sometime ago.  There were some people asking me when I’m going to write the continuation to this fic?  Well, you are all finally going to learn the truth; originally, I had no intention of writing a second part since this is only a one-shot.  However, I did start to write a sequel just to give my fans what they wanted.  Unfortunately, when you are writing just to make other people happy, words do not flow the way you want them to.  So, I stopped at mid-page.

It wasn’t until recently (two weeks ago) that I decided that I could run another contest.  I remembered  “It’s All About the Candy!” and decided, why the hell not!

So, this is my challenge.

I want you to write a sequel to “It’s All About the Candy!”

The rules are pretty simple.

Title: It’s All About the Candy, Too!

Genre: Humor

Rating: PG to PG-13

Word Count:  1,000 –2,000

Disclaimer:  This fic was written as an entry for the “It’s All About the Candy!” Fanfic Sequel Contest.  For those of you not familiar with the original fic, you can do a search for jarjayes on ff.net and click on “It’s All About the Candy!”

I do not own any of the original InuYasha characters.

If you need any inspiration, just read the reviews I was left.  Believe me, there are plenty of ideas on what you can do for a sequel in those reviews.

  1. Read all rules and regulations first before participating.  Please print rules out for your convenience.
  2. Read my original InuYasha fic “It’s All About the Candy!”
  3. Join </a></a>the_bwgLJ community for the duration of the competition.  Once the contest is over, you are free to leave the community if you like.</font></b>
  4. For contest entry submissions, there are two parts to it.

Part 1:  Before posting entries on the_bwg community, entries must be first posted on ff.net exactly on Sat. Dec. 01 or Sun. Dec. 02, 2007.  Not before, not after these two dates for qualification.  I will be checking the dates.

Part II: After the entries are posted on ff.net, then they are to be posted on the_bwg from Sat. Dec. 01 or Sun. Dec. 02, 2007.

Title:  It’s All About the Candy, Too!  (It’s All About the Candy! II)

When you are going to post your fic on ff.net, it must be posted with this title or it’s variation like:

It’s All About the Candy! II,  It’s All About the Candy! 2, It’s All About the Candy! Two or Part Two…you get the idea.  This is for the sake of posting on fanfiction.net.  Now, within the story itself, you have to put the same title, however, you can include a subtitle.  For example:  It’s All About the Candy! II : Sesshoumaru’s Revenge.

Author: (you know who you are)

Genre:  Humor

Rating: (PG or PG-13)

Word Count:  (1,000 –2,000)

Disclaimer or Warning: (Optional; Only if Necessary)

Summary:  (Two to three sentences)

Story Link:  ( ff.net URL; No LJ CUT)

*Since the original story is a humor fic, then I expect the Sequel to be a humor fic, as well.  The same goes for the rating.

·        On ff.net, although the fanfic entries will all have the same title, what will make the difference is the summary written.

Basically, I will be choosing the winner.  The fic that makes me laugh the most is the one that wins.

*Please do not submit fics before due date.

*Now, I will only make exceptions depending on the reason.  For that, you’ll have to e-mail me first but don’t wait till the last moment to do so.

There’s only two:  First Prize and Reviews Prize.

First Prize:  Original Watercolor Bust of favorite InuYasha Character.

Examples:  http://vanityfair.deviantart.com/art/Naraku-33166085

Bust will be done in that style.  The only thing that will not be included is the border.  That would be left in white so then you can easily send it to be matted and framed.  The size of the paper will be 9 x 12 inches.

Reviews Prize:  Person with the highest number of Positive Reviews obtained on ff.net will receive an Original Watercolor of their favorite InuYasha Character in Chibi form.

I don’t have any samples of this, however, you will be left with a white border so then you can matt and frame at your leisure.  This watercolor, however, will be smaller.  I haven’t decided on the size yet but it will be smaller than a 9 x 12 inch.

All entries will have a permanent place on my InuYasha Steel Wind ff.net community

and InuYasha Steel Wind website.  http://www.geocities.com/steel_wind2004

*For now, there are only these two prizes.

Now, if anyone wants to donate for 2nd and 3rd prize, they are more than welcome to.

  1. Self-promote on communities, journals, etc.
  2. Write a Good Summary for your fic.
  3. Tell others about it.

Due dates:  Sat. Dec. 01 and Sun. Dec. 02, 2007 at midnight.

About this Entry
Nov. 27th, 2006 @ 07:38 pm Embarking upon a Journey
Thanks Giving is finally over!  HOwever, my adventure has just begun and it will officially start this Friday!

I just received this book in the mail titled:  "No Plot?  No Problem!" by Chris Baty, the Founder of NaNoWriMo.
I know that the official NaNoWriMo contest will be over on Thursday, however, I am personally going to embarck on my own NaNoWriMo this December.  And to make things more interesting, I invited a friend along for the ride.

She said "Yes".

Now, since I know a lot of you read my posts, I want you all to know that I'm mentioning this for two reasons.

1)  I want to invite other people on this venture as a friendly competition on who can get towards 50,000 words.

2) If there are those of you who find yourselves too swamped to join us, then you can serve as my personal cheerleaders.  Becasue I think I'm going to need all the motivation I can get.

Me and my friend agreed that every Friday we were going to report to each other on our word count.  So, I will do the same here.  I will also tell you at what word count I am at.

So, before the first of December arrives which ones of you want to join us in this personal writing venture and which ones of you just want to cheer us on?

This will last the entire month.

Just thought you wanted to know that.

Oct. 5th, 2006 @ 12:44 am BWG: A Pull on the Ear
Hi, people!

Well, I don't want to make assumptions but if by any chance any of you haven't read the Contest Rules I suggest you read them again, carefully.  I pretty much think they are self-explanatory and if they are not, I've always told people to ask me.  It's that simple.

Another thing you must remember, all entires no matter how long or how short must be placed behind an LJ cut.

Okay, if you have any questions regarding this, please ask me.

BTW...you have to all wait til DEADLINE WEEK in order to submit which is November 28th to December 5th.  I will not read anything until then...^___^

Yes, it's still early to submit...LOLOLOLOL.

Other than that, have a nice day.
